Q: How old must a puppy be to attend a puppy class?

A: Once the puppy is fully vaccinated, they can attend a puppy class. Puppies are typically vaccinated by 12 weeks.

 

 

Q: How soon can I reserve a class place?

A: Don’t hesitate to contact us as soon as possible. We’ll let you know if we’re currently booking places or if there’ll be a little wait before our next intake.

 

 

Q: What should I bring with me to a class?

A: Please bring your dog on a non-retractable lead ideally 3 feet long, treats that your dog likes, a toy your dog enjoys playing with, poo bags, and of course your dog!

 

 

Q: How long is a class?

A: Classes run for 50 minutes, and will start promptly at the time you’ve been given.

 

 

Q: How many dogs are there in a single class?

A: We have up to a maximum of 8 dogs in each of our classes.

 

 

Q: How can I find you?

A: Classes are held on the Kings Lodge Campus of Anglian Ruskin University Writtle, Lordship Road, CM1 3RR, where there is free parking for participants.

Q: Do you allow spectators to watch the classes?

A: Yes there is plenty of seating in the room and anyone is welcome to watch, however children must be accompanied at all times by someone other than the class participant.

 

 

Q: Do you run an award scheme?

A: Yes, as a full member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) Sharon is able to offer you the opportunity to take part in their Good Companions Award Scheme.

 

 

Q: Can I bring more than one dog?

A: Places are booked per dog + handler pair so you can book multiple places for multiple dogs so long as you have a handler for each dog.

 

 

Q: If my dog comes into season or has a spaying/neutering operation, what happens to my place?

A: Your place will be saved, and any missed classes can be carried forward without additional charge into your next booked block of lessons.

 

 

Q: My dog’s been under the weather, should I still bring them to class?

A: If the dog has been sick or diarrhetic in the last 48 hours, please don’t bring them to class so that we can prevent the spread of anything contagious. If you’re dog will miss a class for this reason, please contact me directly.

 

 

Q: Do you have a refund policy?

A: Yes, if your circumstances change and you give us 7 days notice prior to the date of your first booked class that you wish to relinquish your place, we will provide you with a full refund.
